To continue providing our customers with fast and reliable service, AddonInteractive has recently made several improvements and additions to our network infrastructure. In the weeks ahead, you can expect to see that we'll be introducing new, cutting edge servers to compliment and or replace our existing systems.
In the last few months, we've made some major changes, all of which are now in place and/or scheduled for rapid deployment:
- We've increased our sustained bandwidth four-fold to accommodate for growth and access.
- We've increased our burstable bandwidth ten-fold to ensure faster downloads to users using high speed cable and fiber optic connections.
- We've more than doubled the amount of servers in our "farm" to continue providing high reliability, redundant/fault tolerant service to our customers. In addition to this, we'll be adding additional servers in the next coming weeks to further enhance our network.
- We've transitioned all standby servers (servers dedicated to an idle state in case of hardware failure or offline maintenance) to critical power circuits to further reduce downtime when hardware incidents do occur.
- We've made major hardware and software updates to many of our previous generation servers, including memory upgrades, CPU upgrades and drive upgrades. As drives are frequently the cause of system crashes, we continue to provide redundant (mirrored RAID) drives on every server in our network.
- We've request additional critical power circuits to accommodate for growth of our existing product lines and new products currently in development and/or planning phases.
- We've implemented additional security mechanisms on virtually every level of our network to further ensure uninterrupted reliability and combat potential network / denial of service attacks.
No downtime will be required for any of the coming improvements to our network.
